Ben-Yehuda House

The International Meeting Center

The International Meeting Center “Beit Ben-Yehuda” opened its doors to guests from all over the world in 2004.

Beit Ben-Yehuda consists of two main buildings: a new building that contains most of the facilities, and the adjacent historical family home of Eliezer Ben-Yehuda, who created modern Hebrew (Ivrit), the everyday language of Israel.

The facility is associated with Aktion Sühnezeichen Friedensdienste (ASF), a volunteer organization based in Germany based on confronting Nazism.

The International Meeting Center provides a welcoming forum for intercultural meetings between Israelis and international visitors. It offers a variety of seminars, programs, language courses and accommodations for all age groups, families and individual guests.

Our programs tackle social, political, historical, cultural and religious issues with a focus on the causes and effects of National Socialism. We also address the conflict in the Middle East, as well as German-Israeli and Christian-Jewish relations in the past and present. The seminars offer experiences hearing from Holocaust survivors, social workers, authors and lecturers.
